How is it safe & socially distanced?
This experience was designed to accommodate measures that mitigate the risk of spreading COVID-19. All guests will be required to stay in their vehicles. Windows down is optional. However, masks will be required to do so. Staff & volunteers will place candy in the trunk of vehicles.

Can I walk through the experience?
All attendees must stay in their cars.


Are all cars permitted?
The following vehicles will not be permitted: limos, bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, vehicles with trailers attached, buses, motorhomes, cargo vans, and any vehicle over 8'2" high.


Will there be jump scares?
No. This event will be spooky not scary.


Is there an age minimum?
Younger children can come at their parents' discretion.

Will my child have to be present in the vehicle in order to get a FREE Bike Helmet?


Can I "save time in line" by completing the Bike Helmet Waiver and measuring my child's head for helmet sizing ahead of time?
YES! You can find the waiver online, print, and fill it out ahead of time. Instructions for how to measure your child's head are online as well. Be sure to bring the printed waiver and measurement total with you event day and save time in the line! Visit safekidscolumbusga.org to access the form and instructions.


Can I get a FREE bike helmet for a child that is not present in my vehicle?


Can I get more than one helmet per child?
No, we only provide one helmet per child. Helmets are given out while sizes and supplies last!


If I go into the Safe Kids Columbus FREE Helmet lot, will I have to exit the event and start over to participate in Spooktacular?
No, you will be routed into the Spooktacular entry point after you get your free helmet.


Do I have to go through the Safe Kids Columbus FREE Bike Helmet portion of the Civic Center lot in order to participate in the Spooktacular Event?
No, if you do not need a FREE bike helmet for your child, you can skip this part and go directly into the Spooktacular line.
