Service to Our Community

Our 21st Century Planning is based upon our Four Pillars for Success, and one of the pillars we are most proud of is Service to Our Community. Our aim is for the Civic Center to be a beacon for the community, by providing a World Class atmosphere, creating, and producing new events while being the pillar for local gatherings.

Our team is committed to utilizing every square foot of our venue and its real estate to be a safe haven and embrace the diverse culture of Columbus.

If you or your organization is interested in community initiatives or fundraising opportunities, please contact our Deputy City Manager Lisa Goodwin for more information.

Thanksgiving Food Drive (Nov. 2020)

About this album

The Columbus Civic Center partnered with Feeding the Valley and flawlessly executed on a food drive – providing food for nearly 1,000 Columbus families for the Thanksgiving Holidays. With the support of community organizations like, Alpha Phi Alpha & Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, IACT Health, National Guard and the hard work of the Columbus Civic Center staff – the Thanksgiving Food Drive brought hope to many needing families this time of year.
